Canvas is Georgia Tech’s learning management system and the community shares their course resources within Commons. These resources can be directly imported to your courses or downloaded to your devices. You can find the Commons link on the global navigation menu once you log on to Canvas, or use this link for direct access.
MERLOT is an OER repository that provides access to curated online learning and support materials and content creation tools. It is searchable by subject, audience, course material type, mobile operating system, among other categories.
MIT OpenCourseWare is a web-based publication of virtually all MIT course content, freely and openly available online.
OER Commons is a repository of OER, which is searchable by subject, audience, and educational standard. The OER Commons has a content building platform, Open Author. OER Commons also has tutorials and assistance for creating OER.
OpenALG is the new USG-wide repository the provides access to all resources created under Affordable Learning Georgia. Built on Manifold, it features iterative texts, powerful annotation tools, rich media support, and robust community dialogue.
OpenStax publishes peer-reviewed, openly licensed textbooks that are free online and low cost in print.
Smithsonian Open Access allows you to download, share, and reuse millions of the Smithsonian’s images.
Wikimedia Commons provides access to a collection of freely usable images, sounds, and videos. It is browsable by topic, file type, and licensing.
